If the update option is not visible, it is possible that this version is already installed on your device. To check the version number, long press the Instagram icon, go to the “App info” tab, and look at the version information at the bottom of the screen.
The battery consumption problem emerged after the Pixel software update released in mid-May. According to the latest information, this issue has affected all models updated from Pixel 6 to Pixel 9.
Google responded to users’ questions by directing them to a support page announcing the Instagram update. However, it is still unclear whether this issue affects only Pixel devices or all Android phones.
